1. Please can you inform me of the number of people currently on your housing waiting list?
2. What is the average length of time an individual spends on your council's housing waiting list before they are housed in permanent accommodation?

2. We operate a points based Allocations Policy.  It is published on our website and is available here   http://www.moray.gov.uk/moray_standard/page_40839.html

Points are awarded based on an applicant’s circumstances.  The total number of points determines the applicant’s position on the housing list at any given time.  The Allocations Policy does not award any points associated with length of time on the list.  An applicant’s circumstances may worsen or improve during the life of their housing application.  This means their total number of points may be reassessed.  Therefore an applicant’s position on the list may change frequently. 

For this reason, we are unable to provide an answer to this question.
