Moray Training is part of the Moray Council. We develop, deliver and monitor training as well as accredited qualifications to individuals on placements and employment within the Moray Council and local businesses. Let our experienced staff organise your training requirements, leaving you to get on with the job.  

We can deliver from our current portfolio or develop and deliver qualifications customised to meet your needs.

Services we provide

Nationally Recognised and Accredited Training

Modern Apprenticeships (MA): MAs are available for those aged 16 – 19 and 20 - 24 in areas designated by the Scottish Government. These candidates are in employment and work towards achieving a recognised national qualification up to SVQ Level 3 or equivalent.

Private Sector: We deliver SVQs to employed staff in the private sector, for Social Services & Health Care level 3 & 4 also Leadership & Management for Care, SAAS part time funding may be available.   

Scottish Vocational Qualifications: Moray Training is an approved centre for delivery of Scottish Vocational Qualifications including:

  • Business Administration at level 2 and 3
  • Social Services & Health Care at levels 2, 3 and 4
  • Leadership & Management for Care

SQA accredited training including:

  • Core Skills Level 1-6
  • ICT, Numeracy, Working with others, Problem solving and Communication
  • Emergency First Aid at Work (1day)
  • First Aid at Work (3 day)

Additional training certificated by Moray Training - we can facilitate:

  • Basic Manual Handling
  • Safe People Handling
  • Health and Safety Awareness

Registered Provider of the Employability Fund for Skills Development Scotland

The Employability Fund Activity aims to support employability, vocational training and employment opportunities linked to the local labour market which fall within Stages 2 to 4 of the strategic skills and employability pipeline briefly set out  below;

Stage 2 β€” Removing Barriers
Provision at this stage should create a foundation upon which individuals can build their employability skills, personal development, and core skills, including an appropriate level of work experience

Provision at this stage should support individuals in preparing for and sustaining employment, including entry to Modern Apprenticeships, and include an element of work experience

Rural Skills Training and Work Experience

Trainees are part of a small training squad who are fully supervisor by an experienced training supervisor working on a diverse range of rural skills for the private sector and the Moray Council, including tasks such as:

  • Pathways construction and maintenance
  • Small bridge repairs and maintenance
  • Repairs for flood damage
  • Fence construction and repairs
  • Installing, benches, gates, signs
  • Stone walls repairs
