Housing Support Services Policy

Our Housing Support Services includes housing support, sheltered housing and hostel accommodation.

The service provides support and encouragement to service users aged 16 and over to enable them to live independent, safe, secure and respected lives in their accommodation for as long as possible (regardless of tenure type).  Housing Support Services can be provided in a person’s home or in temporary accommodation or other forms of supported accommodation. The type of support that is provided will aim to meet the specific needs of an individual person.

The overall aim of the Housing Support Services Policy is to assist vulnerable people improve their quality of life by providing a stable environment and to enable them to live as independently as possible in the community.
