Service Evaluation

The Public Library Quality Improvement Matrix for Scotland (PLQIM) is the framework for ensuring the council meets its statutory obligations in respect of public library provision.

In May 2012 Indicator 4 "Learners' Experiences" and Indicator 7 "Leadership" were evaluated by the Scottish Library and Information Council.

For both indicators the service achieved "Excellent", the highest grading.

In June 2011 Indicator 3 "Meeting Readers' Needs" and Indicator 5 "Ethos & Values" were evaluated by the Scottish Library and Information Council.

For Indicator 3 the service achieved "Excellent", the highest grading and for Indicator 5 "Very Good".
