What is the current rates poundage?

The rates poundage for 2026/27 is 0.481 in the £ for properties with a rateable value of less than 51,000.  For rateable values of between 51,001 and 100,000 the rates poundage is 0.535 in the £ (which includes an Intermediate Property Rate of 0.054) and for rateable values over 100,000 the rates poundage is 0.548 in the £ (which includes a High Property Rate of 0.067).

Rateable Value is 1,000
1,000 x 0.481 = £481.00 rates payable for full year

Example 2
Rateable Value is 60,000
60,000 x 0.535 = £32,100.00 rates payable for full year

Example 3
Rateable Value is 110,000
110,000 x 0.548 = £60,280.00 rates payable for full year
