What is the current rates poundage?

The rates poundage for 2025/26 is 0.498 in the £ for properties with a rateable value of less than 51,000.  For rateable values of between 51,001 and 100,000 the rates poundage is 0.554 in the £ (which includes an Intermediate Property Rate of 0.056) and for rateable values over 100,000 the rates poundage is 0.568 in the £ (which includes a High Property Rate of 0.070).

1,000 x 0.498 = £498.00 rates payable for full year

Example 2
Rateable Value is 60,000
60,000 x 0.554 = £33,240.00 rates payable for full year

Example 3
Rateable Value is 110,000
110,000 x 0.568 = £62,480.00 rates payable for full year
