The Affordable Housing Supplementary Planning Guidance states that:

“4.2 Where a commuted sum is agreed, the Council will accept that the commuted sum should be a "value equivalent to the cost of providing the percentage of serviced land required by the policy"."

and that:

“4.3 The cost of commuted payments is an annual figure based on the District Valuer’s assessment of the value of serviced land for affordable housing in Moray.”

 

Delivery agreements reached with developers
during 2017/18 will require commuted payment of:

£16,000

in lieu of each unit of affordable housing
required under the policy.

This amount will be reviewed annually.  The next review is due on 1 April 2018.
