Direct debit is the most popular way to pay.  It is simple and easy to set up, and you can choose from a selection of payment dates and payment frequencies which are designed to fit in which your personal financial circumstances.  Please click on the following link to read the other benefits of paying by direct debit.

Council Tax

  • over 10 months on the 1st or 5th or 15th or 25th, April to January;
  • over 12 months on the 1st or 5th or 15th or 25th, April to March;
  • weekly, on each Friday;
  • fortnightly, on alternating Thursdays;
  • quarterly, on 30 May; 30 August, 30 November and 28 February;
  • six-monthly, on 30 May and 30 November;
  • annually, on 30 June. 

If your instalment date falls on a weekend or a bank holiday, it will be collected on the next available banking day.

Non-Domestic Rates

  • monthly - on the 21st day, May to February;
  • quarterly - payments on 21st May, 21st August, 21st November and 21st February;
  • six-monthly - payments on 21st May and 21st November;
  • annually - payment on 21st September;

If your instalment date falls on a weekend or a bank holiday, it will be collected on the next available banking day.
