To apply for a council house, you need to register on the Apply4homes website. We will only advertise vacant properties on this page if there are no applicants on our waiting list the property would be suitable for.
Moray Council currently have a number of vacant sheltered housing properties in Portgordon and in Forres.
The properties in Portgordon are bungalows and in Forres they are first floor flats with a stairlift. All of these properties have gas heating and have either a level-access shower or a shower over the bath.
Sheltered housing is normally suited to older people, but may be available to younger households in need of support. Tenants will receive a daily visit from one of our sheltered wardens, who are available during the day to check on the welfare of residents, and will be called on in case of an emergency.
We also have some rural properties available for let. A 2 bedroom house in Tomnavoulin, with solid fuel fired heating and a shower over the bath; a 3 bedroom bungalow in Chapeltown of Glenlivet, with air source heating and level access shower, and a 3 bedroom house in Rothiemay, with electric heating and shower over the bath. In addition to these, we have some 3 bed houses in Central Keith.
If you, or someone you know of, may be interested, please contact the Housing Needs Section on 0300 123 4566. We will be able to assess if you would be eligible and provide help and assistance with applying.
