Elgin Register Office
Elgin Marriage Room

The registration office in the historic town of Elgin provides an ideal location for civil marriages.  Positioned in the centre of town, we are conveniently placed for car parking, railway and bus stations.

The office is overlooked by a tall column on Lady Hill erected in 1839 in honour of the Duke of Gordon.  At the opposite end of the town, the ruins of Elgin Cathedral and the Cooper Park offer many photographic opportunities.

Our marriage rooms are situated at street level with easy access for wheelchairs and the less mobile.  The 'Ladyhill' Marriage Room is large and spacious and can easily accommodate 60/70 guests.  We also have a smaller room the 'Duke of Gordon' Marriage Room, which provides a more intimate atmosphere.

Weddings take place Monday to Friday during office hours and by appointment on a Saturday.   Your ceremony can be enhanced with musical arrangements, readings or flowers of your choice.

We will do all we can to help make your special day a memorable one.
