Have your say, be heard, influence change and share in decision to shape and improve health and social care in Moray.
This is an exciting time to be involved in health and social care in Moray.
The Moray Council and NHS Grampian are coming together in an integrated partnership to achieve the best possible services for you and your community.
Integration offers a huge opportunity to do things better. By joining up health and social care people will be supported to live healthier, fulfilling and independent lives.
At the centre of this work continues to be involvement – actively working with individuals, groups and communities in how services are planned, developed, delivered and evaluated.
Without involvement we cannot be sure that our services are the right ones and that they meet the needs and expectations of our communities in the way that they want..
What do we mean by involvement?
People can be involved in health and social care at different levels and for different reasons.
Individuals are supported by staff to be actively involved in their own care and support.
People are also encouraged to get involved in the way wider services work by taking part in the design, delivery and evaluation of services as part of the continuous improvement cycle.
There are many different ways of being involved. You can be involved as much or as little as you like and in a way that suits you best. You can be involved as an individual or a representative of a group.
• Share your experience of a service
• Answer a paper or online survey
• Attend a meeting or take part in a workshop in your community
• Join a working group developing plans for specific
• Have an input into staff recruitment and training
• Be involved in tender evaluations for commissioning services
• Be a representative on steering groups and partnership boards
