Housing-related support services for people who need help to live independently and safely
- Housing Support - The Moray Council housing support service can be provided short or long-term.
It covers a range of services including:
- general counselling and support
- advice on food preparation
- reminding people to lock up at night
- advice about using domestic equipment and how to arrange minor repairs
- assisting people to keep the inside of their property clean
- arranging for professionals to call or to make appointments to see them
- help to claim welfare benefits, personal budgeting and debt counselling
- help in dealing with neighbour disputes
- assistance with shopping and running errands
- providing emergency alarm systems
- Sheltered Housing - each home is fitted with an alarm system to make sure help is available at any time in an emergency. It also has the services of a warden who contacts you every day. Sheltered housing is an option to help you to continue to live safely and independently with the support you may need and want.
