Current Rate Poundages

The Rates Poundage for 2026/27 is:

•  48.1 pence for properties with a rateable value of up to £51,000;
•  53.5 pence for properties with a rateable value of £51,001 to £100,000 (this includes an Intermediate Property Rate of 5.4 pence)
•  54.8 pence for properties with a rateable value over £100,000 (this includes a Higher Property Rate of 6.7 pence).

Example 1:

Rateable Value £1,000

£1,000 x 48.1pence = £481.00 payable for full year

Example 2:

Rateable Value £60,000

£60,000 x 53.5pence = £32,100.00 payable for full year

Example 3:

Rateable Value £125,000

£125,000 x 54.8pence = £68,500.00
