Online Card Payments

Make your payments online - it's safe, convenient and available 24/7. We accept payments online for the following council charges:

Direct Debit

This is the easiest and most versatile way to pay bills. Simply, complete the relevant form and return it to us, we will forward it to your bank..

Automated Telephone Payments with your Debit or Credit Card

Call 0300 1232678 (Calls to this number will be charged at local rates, plus your call providers access charge.) This number is available 24/7 to pay the following:

  • Council Tax
  • Account Receivable (88*****)
  • Housing Rents
  • Tenants Insurance (INS-)
  • Housing Benefit Overpayments (HBO-)
  • Housing Benefit Sundry Debtors (B0000-)
  • Non Domestic Rates

Payment Cards

If you prefer to pay by cash, we can issue a payment card for housing rent, garage rental and tenant's insurance premium. Payment cards can be used at any Post Office or PayPoint. Find out more ... 

Standing Order

To pay by Standing Order, complete a mandate quoting your bill reference and the amount to be paid and send it to your bank. You will be responsible for telling your bank or building society the amount to pay and must do this each time it changes. Call us on 01343 563456 to request a mandate.

Cheque

All payments made by cheque must be payable to Moray Council, include the account reference and send to the address on your bill. We will only send a receipt if requested.
