Bulky Uplift - Frequently Asked Questions

How can I dispose of additional household items that do not qualify for my normal domestic refuse collection service?

These can be deposited at the nearest staffed Recycling Centre if the materials are from a household source, or  you can arrange for a bulky uplift for old, unwanted items of furniture, or you can donate it to charity.

Commercial waste should be disposed of using the appropriate commercial routes, JG Williamson, Grays Recycling etc 

How can I pay for my bulky uplift? 

You can pay for a Bulky Uplift  by Credit/Debit card over the phone please contact 0300 123 4565. 

A Bulky Uplift costs £32 per uplift.

How many items can be uplifted when I request a bulky uplift? 

Five items and max 2 black bags per uplift.

Is there any discount on the cost for a bulky uplift if I am an OAP or unwaged? 

No, there is no discount on the cost of a bulky uplift.

Where should I leave items for bulky uplift? 

Items should be left at the normal point of collection and should be made available from 7:30am on the day of collection. The crew will not enter your premises to collect items.
