Shopping Buddy – ref BU28 (re-opened 22/3/18)

When – 2 hours once a week
Role – To support lady to make appropriate choices when shopping, reducing isolation and helping her to re-engage with her community  
Tasks – To support lady by providing companionship and conversation.  Support her to shop appropriately with healthy options in mind. Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend Adult Protection training and reviews.
Skills required – An awareness of difficulties experienced by people with mobility difficulties desirable but not essential. Training provided. Caring nature, patience, and good communication skills, reliable and committed, trustworthy and respectful.  PVG check required, paid for by Moray Council

Kitchen Support – ref BU41 (re-opened 17/2/20)

When – 9 am – 2 pm Mon and/or Tues                                                                                                                
Role – To carry out kitchen duties in Daycare setting
Tasks – To prepare foodstuffs, cooking and baking. To serve customers and help to clear tables and dishes. Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend training and reviews.

When – One evening a week                                                                                                          
Role – To support gentleman to attend activities in the local community

Role – To support lady to play badminton

When – flexible to suit volunteers and staff                                                                                                                
Role – To help maintain garden at Daycare Centre

Role – To provide driving assistance for lady to visit family in Elgin

Role – To support gentleman to explore activities in his local community
Tasks – To support gentleman to explore activities that may be of interest to him in his local community. To provide social contact. Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend training and reviews.
Skills required – An awareness of the difficulties experienced by people with a learning disability desirable but not essential. Training provided. Male preferred. An interest in cycling and computers would be beneficial. Correspondence Buddy – ref BU99 (7/5/19)

When – 2 hours once a week
