Social Buddy – ref LHAN26 (8/2/19)

When – 2 – 3 hours once a fortnight                                                                                                       
Role – To support gentleman to go out in the community
Tasks – To visit with gentleman and support to attend activities that are of interest to him. To provide social contact and improve emotional wellbeing. Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend training and reviews.
Skills required – An awareness of the difficulties experienced by people with mobility difficulties, visual impairment and mental health issues desirable but not essential. Training provided. Patience, good communication skills, reliable and committed, trustworthy and respectful, ability to maintain boundaries and follow policies and procedures.  PVG check required, paid for by Moray Council

Home/Social Buddy – ref LHAN28 (reopened 7/2/20)

When – 1 hour once a week                                                                                                          
Role – To visit with lady in her own home  
Tasks – To visit with lady in her own home and accompany out when appropriate. To provide social contact and reduce isolation. Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend training and reviews.
Skills required – An awareness of the difficulties experienced by people with dementia desirable but not essential. Training provided. Patience, good communication skills, reliable and committed, trustworthy and respectful, ability to maintain boundaries and follow policies and procedures.  PVG check required, paid for by Moray Council

Social Buddy – ref LHAN29 (20/2/20)

When – 3 hours once a week (Wednesday)
Role – To support gentleman to attend activities  
Tasks – To support gentleman to attend Men’s Shed or take to places of interest to him eg garden centres. To provide social contact. Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend training and reviews.
Skills required – An awareness of the difficulties experienced by people with mobility difficulties, visual and hearing impairment desirable but not essential. Training provided. Patience, good communication skills, reliable and committed, trustworthy and respectful, ability to maintain boundaries and follow policies and procedures.  PVG check required, paid for by Moray Council
